A story about how my anatomy teacher subtly implied that I have no friends

I walk into anatomy class today to find that our teacher has given us new seats (mine was in the back corner). Our teacher makes a little announcement before class starts: “So I when I made the seating chart, I was influenced by a couple factors. Generally, students sitting in the back are more independent and are the more responsible ones.”

Yup, sounds like me.

“Also, I kept in mind who you’re friendly with; I tried to seat you with your friends.”

I look around. I’m sitting alone.
